Chef Biography

Christina Wokowsky developed her passion for creating food from her birthplace in Strasbourg, France. Growing up in a family that had a devotion to the stove and the table created a natural evolution of harmony in her career as a chef.

From 1983, Christina worked with French chefs in the “Relais & Chateaux”, as well as a German Gold Medalist from the Culinary Olympics. This created a formidable foundation for the basics of classical cooking. She broadened her repertoire by living and working abroad for 20 years.

 


Her culinary background is classical, but her forte is global with a wide range of expertise including American, Mediterranean, Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine. She enjoys working with fresh herbs and spices that add complex flavors to simple food, producing wonderful taste.

Chef Christina ran her own catering business, operating a Personal Chef Service in the Washington, D.C. area and Internationally. She has also worked at the Paris Hotel, Eiffel Tower Restaurant (Las Vegas), and for Chef Joseph Keller of Como’s at Lake Las Vegas.

Using her wide range of culinary talents, she has started "My Vegas Chef" in the Las Vegas Valley which has been a rewarding success.  Within this period she has had articles published in Las Vegas Life Magazine and featured in Las Vegas Home and Design.  She was the Food editor for Fox Channel 5's "MORE" during the 2006/07 season.  She has been the Private Chef for Heavyweight Champion and Olympic Medalist Chris Byrd.  In addition, she cooked for NBA Star Kevin Garnett. 

For Christina, the most important goal is meeting the needs of her personal clients. This requires extensive research to stay on the cutting edge for current, healthy and nutritional preparations.  This vast repertoire and her relationship with her customers have built and strengthened her solid reputation in the Las Vegas Valley.
